The Re-Launch......... (here comes Le Tour!)

So those of you who actually read (or have read in the past) this web site will know that it started life as a Tour de France blog which was transferred from another forum where it had run for years.  Although initially aspiring to be nothing other than a TdF blog, boredom got the better of me and Mattopia became a fairly uninspiring and very irregular sports blog.

But........

It is Tour de France time and we are back!  No longer will these pages be filled with the drivel, dribbles and dreams of a bored and slightly deranged want to be journalist, it will just be a cycling blog. We lazy contributors have moved on, the garbage has gone (almost) and we are dedicated to making this the premier Tour de France blog. (and bike racing in general - they do have bike races all year you know.)
Well the best one that you read anyway.

So from henceforth we will return to our roots, we will cover the classics and the grand tours (with a TdF focus) and of course this years world champs from Australia.  So come one, come all, tell your friends and your family. Tell all those cycling experts who exclusively follow the Tour and no other cycling for the rest of the year. Let them know that we are the best source of news, views, opinions and reviews - and we are more than happy to let anyone take the credit for our hard work, so you can appear like to be a veritable walking encyclopedia on European cycling.  A slightly cynical encyclopedia never the less but an good one!
